JLYASDW - Jesus Loves You And So Do We

Hypocrite Bob

I pre-judged a guy wearing a wrinkled shirt and sagging pants. If I was the manager, I'd give him a fresh shirt and tell him to pull his pants up. I changed my tune and decided to treat him with the same respect that I should treat everybody. He was polite, friendly and did his job well. Why do I have this condition of pre-judgementalism?

When I point a finger of blame, it always seems like I'm a hypocrite. Self-righteousness is like a flood that never recedes. Only the Holy Spirit can help you build an ark of God's righteousness to float above hypocrisy.
Proverbs 11:9
"The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered."

Gateview Ministries Message Notes 2-27-15

    • Picture
We hope your day is filled with heart smiles. We hope you plant heart smile seeds in at least one heart today. The following notes were part of the message that we shared on 2-27-15 at Gate View Ministries. We shared the story of what God is doing through Youth With A Purpose

God gave me two words to start the year (I asked Him for one!) – Ask and Exult. My word became Askxult – the act of giving praise in the same breath of petition. The act of giving thanks in the midst of seeking.

The word God gave me for youth in Arizona is “Travail”. Change happens when we travail in prayer. Are you travailable? Do you have travailability? Galatians 4:19

The Book of Ezekiel continues to speak to me about youth ministry.

Ezekiel 2:10 And he spread it before me and it was written within and without and there was written therein lamentations and mourning and woe.

Ezekiel 3:10 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my wrds that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

Ezekiel 9:3-4 And the glory of the Lord of Israel was gone up from the cherub whereupon he was to the treshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writers inkhorn by his side. And the Lord said to him, go throughout the midst of the city through the midst of Jerusalem. And set mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

God has given us the message of salvation to instill in the hearts of children.

How can you spread the message succinctly?
Smile and give somebody a peace sign as you say: "It's good to see ya!"

Within the Alpha and Omega are the in-between's and the before's and the after's.

Begin with the end construct in mind, even the Benjamites looked good in the end.

Where does my help come from, my help comes from the Lord. Ps 121:1-2

My hope comes from Him. Ps 62:5

We are urban deliverers. We are salvationists. We are travailers. We teach longsuffering as the key to compassionate commitment in youth ministry

Salvation comes from the Lord. Jonah 2:9

There were many deliverers n the tribe of Benjamin in the big picture over a long period of time. However there were also many dogs and sexually moral were outside of salvation with no understanding of revelation and the tribe was almost annihilated after the concubine was killed. That disgusting record of events is told in Judges 19 -21

      Rev 22:13-17

      “In the beginning” - “Amen.”

“God created the heaven and the earth” - “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.”

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep” - “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

“And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” - “He which testifieth these things saith.

      Surely I come quickly. Amen.”

There is a murder “ Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

There is a lie - “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

There is destruction - “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

Please let us know if you have any thoughts or questions. Thanks for your time. Go do something nice for somebody.

Would Jesus Use Your Paint Brush?

Would Jesus pick up a brush and help you paint,
Your words are dark on the character you taint.
As you paint a heart halo and call yourself saint,
Words in your heart would make a stone god faint.
Let your paint heart be filled, overflowing with love.
Dark clouds may gather, but heaven's always above,
Let forgiveness be your color that Jesus speaks of.
Encouraging words are the Lord's and His fullness thereof.
Proverbs 17:9
"He who conceals a transgression seeks love,
But he who repeats a matter separates intimate friends."
Proverbs 26:24-25
"He who hates disguises it with his lips, But he lays up deceit in his heart. When he speaks graciously, do not believe him, For there are seven abominations in his heart."
Leviticus 19:16
'You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people, and you are not to act against the life of your neighbor; I am the LORD."
Proverbs 16:28
"A perverse man spreads strife,
And a slanderer separates intimate friends."
Ephesians 4:29-32
"Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. read more.Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you."

THE VALLEY OF HARDENED HEARTS

Once upon a minute, there lived an empty heart. Unable to fill the chasm of emptiness deep inside itself, the heart began to complain to the other body parts. "It's your fault I'm empty!" The heart screamed at the hands, "You don't hold me the right way!" The heart moaned to the feet, "You never carry me where I want to go!" The heart sneered at the eyes, "You can't even see what I really need!" The heart accused the ears of turning away in deafness, "You never listen to my heart!" Even the stomach was included in the nasty assault of accusations, "You're so full of yourself, you can't even make me feel full." The heart at last felt a degree of fullness and satisfaction at having blamed every body part equally. Catching a glance in a mirror, the heart smiled smugly and thought to himself, "At least my face still has some good looks.

The lonely heart began to seek out other lonely hearts to commiserate in loneliness. Blaming evrybody and everything gave them power and fullness. They even renamed their telephones and called them the "teleblames." They formed their own clique of accusers and used every medium possible to spread blame and accusations. Each day they invented new ways to spread blame for their collective loneliness. "Instyblame," "Accusatwit," "Faceblame," Linkblame," "Myblame," and many more. Their network of nastiness grew with a vile vengeance. The emptiness turned into hardness. They were the Lonely Hardened Hearts Club Band singing songs of destruction.

Attending different churches, they listened to messages about love and forgiveness. Smugly they nodded their heads in agreement with the preacher's words - until they felt uncomfortable in their gut. Then they blamed the Preacher and their gut for making them feel empty. Later, they would call each other on the teleblame and share notes from the different sermons. Forgiveness began with the person being blamed, they said, it was their fault that they did something to be blamed for. Forgiveness had to start with the accused. There was also a time frame for forgiveness and that had long passed. The unforgiven would remain that way until the end of the blaming time.

The children of the lonely hearts began to learn that love is conditional. If your heart feels empty, you must blame someone and separate yourself from them as you point fingers of blame for your own emptiness. One little boy told his Dad that he had a dream about all the lonely hearts. He saw a valley full of dry, cracked, hollow and hardened hearts cast down together in a heap at the bottom. A man asked him if these hearts could ever beat again. The boy told the man that he wasn't sure. The boy stared at the valley of hearts and expressed hope that they would fill again with the fullness of Love that surpasses all knowledge. The boy began to pray; "Father could you please breath on these empty hearts with the fullness of your Love. Cause them to be filled with the fullness of your Spirit. Give them knowledge of Love that goes above and beyond all heights. Fill the chasm of their emptiness with a Love that knows no depths. Make their hearts beat with an immeasurable Love that is wider and longer than their understanding. Fill them with an understanding of Your love that goes abundantly beyond all that they can ask. Fill the empty hearts with Grace and allow their heart beats to join in the rhythm of your Grace." The man said to the boy and to the empty hearts, "Amen, So be it."
