ARE THERE ENOUGH MEN WHO CRY IN BUFFALO?

Bibles surround a street side memorial for a murdered young man.

Who are the men who cry in Buffalo, New York?

  • Some men are in jail crying to get out.
  • Fathers who don't know their children, cry for lost years.
  • Fathers of dead boys cry over son's in caskets.
  • Men whose brains are fried from drugs cry for sanity.
  • Men live under bridges cry for some coin to buy a drink.
  • Wounded men cry for revenge.
  • Senile men cry for lost memories.
  • Divorced men cry over their loneliness.
  • Diseased men in pain cry out for a cure.
  • Guilty men cry over lost innocence.
  • Young men cry out for a father figure.
  • Confused men cry out to be understood.
  • Men of truth cry out for justice.
  • Broken men cry out for forgiveness.
  • Humble men cry out in compassion.
  • Married men cry deeply for their brides.
  • Widowed men cry over lost love.
          There is a future for weeping men in Buffalo. There is a future for the young men in Buffalo who don't have a father. There is a future for guys who want to stop shooting other guys in an attempt to fill the hole in their souls.

Jesus wept.
John 11:35

But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb,

and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb.
John 20:11

Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,
and death shall be no more,
neither shall there be mourning,
nor crying, nor pain anymore,
for the former things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:4

          May the fathers of Buffalo cast their former things upon the cross of Jesus and become strengthened as men who become compassionate fathers to the next generation of fathers in Buffalo. Amen.
